One thing that has always driven me crazy is seeing the Christmas decorations go up in stores too early. Too early used to be before Thanksgiving... as a kid, the Christmas season didn't officially begin for me until I saw Santa on tv, waving from his sleigh at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Over the years, it seems like the holidays have started earlier and earlier, and now it is not uncommon to see the decorations go up right around Halloween! Yikes!
Now, here I am, all grown up, and I am starting to understand why some stores might start so early... it takes a lot of thought and hard work to plan for the holiday season! And when you've finally figured everything out, you want to share with everyone!
Here at One Girl Cookies, we've been thinking about the holiday season since September. Just last week, we did the photo shoot for our holiday gift boxes and tea cookies. We came back to the office full of good cheer and just a little bit sparkly from the glitter on the ribbons. We are super excited! Here's a sneak peek at the papers and ribbons that will be adorning our boxes this year...
Don't worry, we'll have some spooky treats for Halloween and plenty of tasty pies for Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't resist a little Christmas now.
